How do I participate in the EASE program?

Once SCE has verified your eligibility, you will be notified and continue to the next step of the process. So to start, head to the home page, and follow the link to verify your eligibility.

How do I choose an installer?

Head over to the installer page of the website. The installers listed on the website are the approved installers that were chosen to deploy the systems required for the program. We recommend reading about the companies and reaching out to them for more information and to receive quotes.

I'm interested, what do I do next?

That's great! Please check your eligibility here.

How do I choose a system?

The type and size of your solar energy system with or without battery energy storage depends on several factors including the size of your rooftop. Your selected installer will help design a system that is the proper size based on your site and needs. When deciding between solar energy systems and solar with battery storage it is important to note the difference between the two. Solar alone allows you to utilize the energy produced by your solar panels during the day while transferring excess energy back to the grid. Solar energy systems with battery storage allows the user not only to produce energy to be used during the day but also to store the excess energy. The stored energy can be used whenever the participant wants, including during peak rate energy hours.

I already have solar. What can the EASE program do for me?

Participants who have solar may retrofit their systems or consider adding battery storage to their existing solar energy systems. The EASE program at initial launch will give priority to customers installing a solar energy system for the first time. However, depending on adoption rate, EASE incentives might become available to customers upgrading their system with an energy storage system. We encourage you to check your eligibility and get on the waiting list as soon as possible. The new system will need to accept new Generac inverter.

When will the incentive be paid?

The incentive will be paid after the installation is complete and the system has received permission to operate.

When will I know if I am eligible?

Please expect a response within 3 business days.

Why is the incentive only available in a limited area of Santa Ana?

The EASE program is looking to prepare the future of the electric network, one that supports clean energy and massive adoption of distributed resources like solar or battery storage. The incentive was designed to obtain a large concentration of customers connected to a single sub-station to monitor the impact of high penetration and make adjustments to inverter parameters to maintain grid safety and reliability at all times.

Is the incentive still available?

Yes, the incentive is still available. For your convenience, the website will be updated as soon as the incentive is no longer available.
